
100 g of brown rice (raw)
550 ml of milk or non-dairy drink (e.g. oatmeal)
300 ml of water
1 cinnamon stick
The skin of a 1/4 lemon
Pinch of salt
A few drops of vanilla essence (optional)
Cinnamon powder to decorate

Clean the rice with the help of a strainer.

Heat water in a pot and, when it is about to boil, add the rest of the ingredients (except the cinnamon powder).

Cook at low heat for 35-40 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn't stick.

Reserve in the fridge for a minimum of 1-2 hours before consuming.
